Ozzy Osbourne: Possibility of Black Sabbath Reunion ‘Very, Very Strong’

Earlier this year, guitarist Tony Iommi sparked rumors of a Black Sabbath reunion and then dashed them just as quickly, blasting a British newspaper for printing comments he’d made in confidence about an in-the-works comeback album.

Now, iconic frontman Ozzy Osbourne is getting in on the act, hinting that the seminal English metal foursome might be fixing to rise from the tombs.

“Yes, it’s a very, very strong possibility,” Osbourne told Billboard. “It’s in the very early stages, so we haven’t recorded anything yet. If it works out, it’ll work out. If it doesn’t, I’ll keep doing my thing.”

The Ozzy-led original version of Sabbath — which formed in 1968 and includes Geezer Butler on bass and Bill Ward on drums — hasn’t toured since 2005 or released an album of new material since since 1978.

As he awaits Sabbath’s potential resurrection, the Prince of Darkness is keeping busy promoting his new book, ‘Trust Me, I’m Dr. Ozzy,’ a collection of the health advice he’s been doling out in Rolling Stone and Britain’s Sunday Magazine.

Yes, we find that concept as amusing as you do.
